o spread knowledge of art in its various forms. Do not be mislead by the club's name, the scope is not limited to only works by Shakespeare.
The events available:
-Open Readings of Shakespeare's Plays. (Everyone is welcome to come as an audience member or as a volunteer!)
-Acting Workshops
-Guest Speakers
-Attendance of plays throughout San Diego County
-Pub Nights!
-Renaissance Fairs
-Tutoring
-Tailgate at SDSU Football games
-End of the year Shakespeare production. (With open auditions)
As you can see the events planned are not limited to a library or classroom setting!

Now Meet the Officers!
Sonia Nelson is pursuing a M.A. in British Literature at San Diego State University. She is the founder, and current President of the SDSU Shakespeare Club. Sonia is also a musician. She plays Trumpet and French Horn in various ensembles throughout San Diego.
Vice President Event Coordinator: Yarely Alejandre
Yarely Alejandre is working on her M.A. in English as SDSU. She is eager to see how this club develops and strengthens the community's knowledge and appreciation of Shakespeare and literature all together!
Vice President Marketing and Social Media: Lara Haine
Lara Haine is currently a SDSU student majoring in SLHS and English. She fell in love with Shakespeare after taking Dr. Frampton’s class in her junior year of college. She is excited to learn more about Shakespeare and the theater community in the San Diego area!
